About Hartigan

With more than 40 years of experience in the field of engineering, Colin has developed a profound expertise in structural behaviour, materials, and the nuances of the local built environment. His extensive career encompasses a wide array of projects, ranging from small-scale residential developments to large-scale commercial ventures.

Andy brings nearly 30 years of engineering experience to the table and has played a pivotal role in several significant developments on the Island, including projects such as Les Quennevais School, Jersey Airport Cargo Centre and Les Charrieres. Throughout his career, he has amassed extensive knowledge in both structural and civil engineering issues, allowing him to navigate complex challenges with ease.

Richard brings 20 years of experience from both the UK and Jersey, and since joining Hartigan in 2016, he has played a key role in a range of projects, including contaminated land assessments, cliff stabilisation, dredging, and environmental monitoring and testing. His expertise and contributions have been invaluable, leading to his promotion to Associate in 2022.

A Chartered Engineer with a Master’s degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, Agnieszka has over 10 years of experience and has been a key member of Hartigan since 2014. Promoted to Associate in 2022, she has led critical projects like Les Charrieres Care Home and St Helier Marina upgrade. Agnieszka is known for her expertise in advanced engineering methods, using tools like finite element analysis and BIM to deliver practical, innovative, and efficient designs.

Monika graduated as an Environmental Engineer at Technical University in Gliwice (Poland).Monika brings 20 years of experience, starting her career as an engineering technician before progressing to an engineer. She has worked on a wide range of projects, from small alterations and extensions to larger developments like Le Clos Couriard. Her versatility and adaptability make her a valuable asset to any project, regardless of scale.

In 2016, Patricia earned her MSc in Civil Engineering from FEUP, specializing in Geotechnics, and joined SENVION Portugal, working on pile design for wind turbines and then joined LUCIOS for an internship managing a construction site. She joined Hartigan in 2018, swiftly advancing to lead projects like Jersey Zoo. With further qualifications in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge, she is now pursuing chartership and, in 2024 moved to Porto as Director of Hartigan Portugal.

Simon has been with Hartigan since 1995, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise in civil and structural engineering, particularly in relation to Jersey’s built environment. He is also qualified in historic building conservation, allowing him to apply a conservation-focused approach to structural alterations and repairs, ensuring sensitive and appropriate solutions for heritage properties.

With nine years of experience working on drainage, highways, landscaping, and construction projects in the UK and Jersey. James upon returning to Jersey joined one of the Island’s largest construction companies as a site manager. James joined Hartigan in 2023 as an engineer to further his career and is now working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.

Since graduating in 2021, Ciara has been building her expertise in both on-site construction engineering and structural design. She joined Hartigan in 2023 as a graduate engineer and has since contributed to major infrastructure and marine projects. Ciara is currently working towards achieving Chartered Engineer status.

Paul brings over 30 years of expertise in structural detailing and is highly proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM protocols. Since joining Hartigan in 2003, he has played a key role in nearly all of our major projects, including Les Quennevais School as well as several airport and marine developments.

Malgorzata (Maggie) has over 20 years of experience in the engineering industry. Since joining Hartigan in 2011 as an engineering technician, she has contributed to a wide range of projects, from small alterations to large multi-storey developments. Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, Maggie brings extensive knowledge of structural design to her work.

Domagoj (Dom) graduated in 2008 with a diploma in architectural technology. He has since gained diverse experience working on various projects in Croatia, the UK, and Jersey. Since joining Hartigan in 2022, Dom has applied his expertise in structural and civil detailing as well as surveying.

After graduating in 2009 with a degree in International Politics, Natural and Man-made Disasters, Engineering, and Management (IDEM), Chris gained extensive experience in project management and engineering across various global locations. Upon returning to Jersey in 2019, he completed an HNC in Civil Engineering and joined Hartigan in 2022. Since then, Chris has become a fully qualified BEng technician.

Anna has been with Hartigan since 2005, playing a key role in the day-to-day administration of the company, including quality management, financial reporting, and procedure analysis. After completing her MSc post-graduate studies, she is also gaining valuable experience as a Graduate Engineer, particularly in assisting with Historic Building Conservation projects.

Donna worked in financial sector for 26 years after which she decided she would like a change in the working environment and utilise her knowledge and experience in a new role. In October 2017 Donna joined Hartigan as a Financial Administrator to deal with a diverse range of duties relating to the administration of the Company and Human Resources administration.

David began his engineering career in 1972 and joined Hartigan in 1992. Throughout his career, he contributed to a wide range of projects, including residential refurbishments, new builds, sports centres, and office developments. Although now retired from active employment, David continues to serve as a trusted consultant to Hartigan.

Andy brings over 40 years of experience in structural and civil engineering across diverse sectors, including domestic, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and education. Having worked in various locations throughout Europe, he possesses extensive knowledge of modern building techniques and materials. Andy is a valued consultant to Hartigan and one of our SER certifiers.
