For the last two years Hartigan have been listed on New Civil Engineers (NCE) Top 100 companies. This list contained the most innovative, prominent and inspirational firms operating in civil engineering.
In 2020 the awards were renamed to the New Civil Engineering Awards Companies of the Year, which was split into several categories, giving key indicators in the industry.
Hartigan, as an industry leader in the Channel Islands, entered several of the categories and in August it was confirmed we had been shortlisted for three awards: Excellence in Project Management, Leader in Talent Management and Impact on Airports and Ports. Across the 18 categories there are 160 shortlisted companies ranging from local to multi-national firms and consortia.
In our categories we are competing against companies involved in projects such as Hinkley Point C power station, Barking Riverside Redevelopment, hospitals, university campus, schools, international airports and Transport for London to name a few.
The entries were extensive and judging rigorous, Hartigan are pleased to be competing against companies with such significant projects. Engineering is strong in the Channel Islands and for Hartigan to be representing the Island on such a stage is a testament to the local talent.
Colin Tadier, MD, “the local engineers are often not given credit they deserve. Hartigan, who work individually and with international engineering and architectural practices, are very pleased to be shortlisted in these awards and this highlights the skill level of engineers in the Channel Islands.”
